Poplar Caravan Park - Things To Do
Visitors travel from all over Australia and the World to visit Glen Innes and all that we have to offer. You can take a drive up to Martins Lookout where you have access to the beautiful views overlooking our town, or walk amongst the Australian Standing Stones.
The Australian Standing Stones are a circular display of 24 stones, representing the 24 hours of the day. This unique display inspired by the Ring of Brodgar in the Orkneys has become one of the main attractions enticing visitors to attend the Australian Celtic Fesival held in Glen Innes each May.
Here in Glen Innes Mother Nature endows on us four distinctive seasons. Driving through our beautiful country side in Autumn are views of the changing seasons that you will remember forever. Take a stroll through the town parks and there you will see our huge variety of deciduous trees in their full colours. Or maybe an early morning walk in winter and catch the frost still hanging from the trees, and the occasional snow fall to complement the season.
There is so much to see and do when visiting Glen Innes, Fossicking, Fishing, World Heritage parks, Historic Museums, local vineyards and much more.
You will be delighted at the range of eating places that cater for all tastes and while here why not try some local wine?
Here in the Caravan Park we have our own takeaway food at:
